Moisture On High

You know that feeling when you drive half an hour to a retailer, only to find out that the sale item you wanted was sold just minutes before you got there? Yeah, that. For a makeup brush cleanser I really wanted because of the sale #firstworldmakeupproblems Oh, well. I placed an order online for it and still get the discount, so all is not lost. Now, I just have to wait for it.

But I digress.

Continuing skincare appreciation month, I want to share with you all the ultimate in hydration; Climate Control. There’s a lot of science at work here and for good reason too. Suited to all skin types, especially very dry and sensitive skin, it will take you to new heights of moisture. Is that even a thing? Well, it is now!

This anti-ageing moisturizer, not only contains the amazing SenePlex Complex, but also SelPlex. It contains the very best of ingredients to make your skin moister (what a word, moister), with a blend of herbal oils and vitamins to soothe the skin and also increase moisture. It also contains Sodium Hyaluronate to protect against moisture loss.

This makes it the perfect treatment for people experiencing a heating sensation in their skin from dryness or sensitivities such as rosacea, eczema, or dermatitis, it even alleviates sunburn symptoms.

Apply it anywhere on your face and body that needs an extra boost of moisture. As moisture spreads, so too, does the SenePlex Complex. The herbal oil extracts soothe irritations of the skin as the moisturizer relieves the dryness.

Use twice daily, followed by your DayTime moisturizer in the morning and Evening moisturizer at night in order to seal in the hydrating goodness. Simply shake vigorously to activate the ingredients (you only need to do this once), and spray into your hand a few times, then massage all over your face, eyes, and throat.

Beautiful skin is a reality, and I cannot recommend Climate Control enough to people! Add it to you daily SeneGence regimen and invest in your skin.

I don’t like to name favourites, but…

It’s been a busy weekend so far, as I attended a SeneBlends training session and did a makeover for a fellow SeneSister and she was very happy with the result! So was I! I colour matched her foundation to the right shade.

I’ve got another makeover/pamper session lined up this week for a momma who needs a break. I love can I can offer these to my friends and their friends and family and so on. It’s such great practice for me.

I’m feeling inspired to share with you one of my favourite skin care products, just don’t tell the other products; they get jealous easily.

I have talked about it before but I love love love the Facial Resurfacer.

facial resurfacer

It gives me the feeling of new skin every time I use it, as it sloughs away the dead skin sitting on my skin.

The SenePlex Complex in this product helps bring new plump skin cells to the surface 23% faster than going it alone. As you layer the SenePlex Complex, the better your skin will become; more plump, smoother and more luminous.

I use the resurfacer twice a week and no more than that as you don’t want to damage or thin out your skin.

The benefits of removing the dead skin cells, allows treatments and moisturizers penetrate your skin a lot faster and deeper, and get to work faster without all that crustiness in the way.

I highly recommend this for oily or acne prone skin (like mine), but all skin types can use this.

On a damp clean face, apply a pinky nail sized amount (smaller than a pea) to your face and in gentle, small, circular motions massage around your face, neck, and décolletage. I do this for about a minute or 2, then rinse off. Follow with your treatments and moisturizer.

This is going to give you a smooth base for your Colour Correcting Tinted Moisturizer and for your Foundation.

So go forth and get exfoliating! I’m going to clean the oven now. Oh! What a glamorous life I lead!

Gimme Some Skin

Hello, lovelies! I’ve been busy bee filming and editing videos on makeup looks, like a No Makeup Makeup look, which ties in nicely with the theme for the month.

August is skincare appreciation month here at Lip Mania with Christina.

I’ve touched on a few products before like the Evening Moisturizer, Brightening Multi-Vitamin Treatment and more.

Why the focus? Because we only have one skin and we need to look after it. Be it our face or our body, we need to love on it daily. And it’s the foundation for a flawless base for your makeup.

For me, personally, my skin has been transformed since using SeneGence.

You can see such a difference in the texture, tone, and luminosity.

It’s boosted my confidence, putting my best face forward. And I owe it all to the skincare and SenePlex Complex.

Yes, I still get the occasional breakout but it heals so much faster and without scarring.

I will come to you throughout the month highlighting my favourite products, my routine, testimonials and maybe even some videos.

I love the skin I’m in and I hope that you love yours too.

Kicking It Old School

It works. It actually, really works.

Shea Butter Body Cream

What am I talking about? Using Shea Butter Body Cream to remove makeup. Yes. It’s an old school method but it works!

I mentioned it previously how Joni, our founder and CEO, uses this method to remove her makeup. I was a little skeptical at first, especially about removing our very waterproof mascara. Boy, was I wrong!

It removes EVERYTHING. This is now my go to method of removing makeup. I need to invest in more wash cloths for wiping the cream off my face haha.

So, not only am I cleansing my face, I’m moisturising it and massaging it, too.

I place a hot, damp wash cloth on my face for a few seconds and then wipe gently. Rinse and repeat until the Shea Butter Body Cream has been removed.

My current nighttime routine includes the Brightening Multi-Vitamin Treatment, followed by Nangai oil and then the evening moisturizer. And then hopefully at least 4 hours of sleep haha.

In other news, I’ve kicked off my SeneBlends, that’s the SeneGence makeup artistry certification. I need to practice 58 different techniques on 58 different faces. 5 down, 53 to go and I’m excited! I’m having a lot of fun helping women look good and feel great and learning at the same time. So, if you’re in Melbourne, I may call on you for your beautiful face! I’m getting better at apply eyeliner but it still needs some work. Same goes for mascara; OMG that’s so hard to do!

I’ve realised that I need a proper, portable makeup chair or else my back will get angry. Thankfully, I have a great osteopath to keep me tuned up hehe

On a personal note, I’ve been looking at getting into powerlifting! I’m not one for a conventional gym (thanks anxiety!). I am predisposed to osteoporosis and need to build up my bone density and of course, get my strength back. I was considering pilates for a while but I need to build up my muscles again and lose inches while I’m at it. Wish me luck it happens and I stick to it!

Which guy? Nangai!

We’re into the second week of school holidays here and I’m going cuckoo bananas. The children and their never ending requests for food, the boredom, the fighting. This mama is over it! Thank goodness I have baseball to watch, my makeup to play with, and my never ending knitting keep me somewhat sane! But I digress.

Now, I’ve started using this gorgeous oil and let me tell you, it’s amazing. Liquid gold.

Sourced and grown sustainably on Vanuatu, this light and velvety nut oil is divine. It will help reduce the signs of ageing, making skin luminous, glowing, and deeply hydrated.

When I got it delivered it had solidified because winter. Once it came to room temperature, it was fine to open and use. You can also run the bottle under hot water to liquify the oil.

nangai oil2

One oil, many uses:

  • Apply to your face before moisturizing for an extra boost of hydration, leaving you with a luminous glow. Also benefit from anti-aging properties and it’s quick absorbing and not greasy.
  • Apply to scars, burns and eczema to reduce inflammation and aids in speeding up the healing process.
  • Massage into your hair as a leave-in treatment on dry hair.
  • Apply to lips for a boost of moisture
  • Massage into cuticles at night to help nails grow.

So far I’ve done most of the above. My hair is smooth, my skin is softer and smoother and not the least bit greasy. And my lips and nails are beautifully hydrated overnight.

All you need are a few drops for your face or hair, a drop for your lips, and a few drops to cover both hands.

Another use is to apply to your face for a closer shave. Yes, I shave my face. But I’ll save that for another post!

SCIENCE! Nangai oil is rich in 94%-97% Triglycerides to protect the skin from water loss, enhancing your skin’s ability to retain moisture. It helps to prevent and correct dry skin and signs of ageing.

It’s a unique oil in that it does not require any chemical process to extract the triglycerides, unlike coconut oil.

Pure caprylic/capric triglycerides are naturally present in Nangai Oil, and do not require processing or manufacturing in order to create the purest, most beneficial product to moisturize your skin. I can confidently say that this oil is all natural.

If you’d like to know more about caprylic/capric triglycerides, let me know.

Some extra ingredients:

  • SenePlex Complex- Kinetic enzyme that increases cellular renewal.
  • Glucosamine HCL- enhances the body’s ability to manufacture collagen.
  • Algae (Seaweed) Extract- hydrates, protects skin from the sun, and softens the skin.

Small bottle, huge wonder.
